Character Descriptions

Casting Age: 28–38
Description:
Michelle is the emotional center of the series. She is beautiful, intelligent, guarded, and wounded, but not weak. She starts as a woman trying to recover from betrayal, then slowly steps into power. This role requires strong facial acting, quiet emotional control, vulnerability, anger, and the ability to show heartbreak without overplaying it.

Needs: Strong close-up presence, emotional depth, controlled intensity.

Casting Age: 32–42
Description:
Gary is attractive, masculine, charming, and deeply flawed. He knows how to soften his voice, use his looks, and pull people back in, but underneath that charm is fear, selfishness, and desperation. He cannot be played like a cartoon villain. He needs layers: guilt, control, panic, regret, and manipulation all fighting in one face.

Needs: Charm, emotional range, chemistry with Michelle, ability to shift from soft to dangerous.

Casting Age: 35–48
Description:
Black is handsome, mysterious, controlled, and dangerous without having to prove it. He moves like a man who knows more than he says. He is not loud. He is not messy. His power is in his stillness. The actor must be able to show conflict, attraction, loyalty, and danger mostly through the eyes.

Needs: Strong screen presence, quiet intensity, romantic chemistry, controlled menace.

Casting Age: 30–45
Description:
Diane is Michelle’s sharp, loyal, no-nonsense friend. She brings truth, humor, and pressure when Michelle needs it most. She is protective but not soft. This role needs natural comedic timing, emotional honesty, and the ability to say hard things with love and attitude.

Needs: Wit, warmth, bold personality, strong best-friend energy.

Casting Age: 50–70
Description:
Thurmond is powerful, calm, dangerous, and used to being obeyed. He does not need to yell to make people afraid. He carries authority in his voice, posture, and silence. This role requires an actor who can command a scene with very few words.

Needs: Authority, stillness, intimidation, mature presence.

This is a vertical drama series, so actors must be comfortable performing for tight close-ups, emotional pauses, facial reactions, and controlled intensity. 

Overacting will not work for this project. 

We are looking for actors who can say a lot without saying too much.
